This website, https://www.lawc.on.ca/ (“Website”), is operated by the London Abused Women’s Centre (“LAWC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing this Website, using its services, donating, or making purchases through the online store, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please review them carefully.

Section 1 — Purpose of the Website and Online Store

The London Abused Women’s Centre provides counselling, advocacy, and support services for women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals who have experienced abuse, violence, or exploitation. This Website also offers general information, resources, and opportunities to make charitable donations or purchase merchandise in support of LAWC’s mission.

Important Note: The information provided on this Website is for informational and resource purposes only. It is not a substitute for individualized counselling, legal advice, medical care, or emergency services. Submitting a form or contacting LAWC through the Website does not automatically create a client or service relationship. Intake, eligibility, and service availability are determined by LAWC staff. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact 911 or local emergency services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Website, making a donation, or purchasing products, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Website.

LAWC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Website after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Online Store

  • Merchandise is offered for sale while supplies last.

  • Prices are listed in Canadian dollars and may change without notice.

  • Product descriptions, images, and availability may be updated at any time.

  • We reserve the right to limit sales to any person, region, or jurisdiction.

4. Donations

  • Donations made through this Website are voluntary and non-refundable.

  • Tax receipts for eligible donations will be issued in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines.

  • Donors are responsible for providing accurate personal information to ensure proper processing of tax receipts.

  • Donations are separate from merchandise purchases. Purchases from the online store are not eligible for tax receipts.

5. Order Fulfillment (Store Purchases)

  • Payment is required at the time of purchase through secure online payment processing.

  • Once your order is placed and payment is processed, you will receive an order confirmation email.

  • Orders may be fulfilled through either:

    • Local in-person pickup (pickup details provided at checkout), or

    • Shipping to your designated address (shipping fees apply and are calculated at checkout).

  • Shipping availability may be limited to certain geographic regions and may be subject to carrier limitations or service disruptions.

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout. LAWC is not responsible for delivery delays or losses caused by incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

  • Customers who select in-person pickup are responsible for retrieving orders within the specified timeframe. 

6. Refund and Exchange Policy

  • All merchandise sales are final.

  • We do not offer refunds or exchanges, except in cases where items are defective or incorrect.

  • If you receive a defective or incorrect item, contact us at info@lawc.on.ca within 7 days of receipt (for shipped orders) or pickup (for local orders) to arrange for resolution.

7. Personal Information

Our Privacy Policy governs your submission of personal information through the Website.

8. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to ensure information is accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or free of errors. We reserve the right to correct any inaccuracies at any time.
